WoW Makes Tons of Cash, Reaches 10.7M Players, Hints at 2008 WotLK Release

Quarterly earnings reports were released for Vivendi and the company announced that World of Warcraft contributed $295 million of its $330 million earnings from last quarter. The company also announced that WoW’s subscriber base has reached 10.7 million players, that’s up slightly from last reports of 10.5 million. Also, in reports to share holders, Vivendi made claims that Wrath of the Lich King is scheduled to be released the second half of 2008. Scheduled being the key word there. You can take those claims with a grain of salt, but if that is true could we possibly see a release date to coincide with a Christmas Holiday rush?
