An Incomplete Azjol-Nerub
OMG WE NEED FRESH NEW INFORMATION! Yes, it’s still slow and probably will be for a couple more weeks. But as I was surfing the WotLKWiki I realized that i haven’t posted on Azjol-Nerub. I guess I haven’t mostly because it is unfinished, but none-the-less here is some screens and a nice video courtesy of WotLKWiki.

Azjol-Nerub, also known as the Spider Kingdom (pronounced “ah-ZHOL nuh-ROOB”), is the vast underground empire of the arachnid Nerubians, located on the icy continent of Northrend. The entrance to Azjol-Nerub can be found in the northern reaches of the Dragonblight.

Wow, Im realy looking forward to Azjol Nerub. The Nerubians is one of my favorite races in Warcraft, and and an underground complex full off them just can’t go wrong!
place looks HUUUUGE w00t
Big and confusing, I can’t wait to get lost in there!
So is this an Instance, or an underground zone?
It’s likely to be WoW’s first entirely underground Zone. Imagine Blades edge mountains but UNDERGROUND, with several “layers”. With NPC/Quest hubs, and maybe an instance or two…. :O
I love underground zones/subzones. This one reminds me of a giant version of the Slag Pit, which was a large underground subzone found in the Cauldron of Searing Gorge.
mmh… really nice place =P (the southern entrance is in the Dragonblight)^^ This place is a really subterrane maze… For knowing, this zone is a playable zone with instances (fighting the Faceless Gods) and NPC villages, like Doorward (dwarf zone)… Surely, an outdoor area will be added, like a world boss zone (the Great Tree of Crystalsong Forest) or something like da… But I’m not sure of da, it’s just a suggestion, a kind of speculation. But, an entrance to Doorward and and a horde camp will be add outdoor.
Massively, this zone is awesome and I can’t wait to see it!
Thanks for featuring our video/screenshots! I took those shots myself.
Haha
Azjol-Nerub is AMAZING-looking. It features some great new water effects, including some beautiful little drips from the ceiling that give it a very mystical feeling. Also the moss and mushrooms growing all over the cavern make the entire place amazingly detailed. The lighting is nothing short of SPECTACULAR. I can’t wait to see it all populated.
