Beta Death Knights: Gear, Quests and Video
We are learning more as Beta testers complete the starting Death Knight Quests in Ebon Hold. Apparently the “Starting gear” that we thought was so badass is actually crap compared to the gear you get in quests. Here is a look at the gear you get for questing in EH. I only have 1 picture of stats, I’ll post more as they come out.
Here is Crazy, it’s a good look at not only the gear but a fat cow on the Death Charger.
Venia also shared a shot of a Female Night Elf in a full set of the quested gear (minus the helm):
The sword in the pictures is obtained through an epic quest line called The Light of Dawn. If you follow that link you will see a ,damn near, frame by frame view of the entire quest line. Be warned it is full of much spoilage. Here is the stats on the sword:
There is also a video circulating around that shows about 4 min of Death Knight Beta game play. If you didn’t have a soft spot for DK’s before, this video is sure to turn you dark.

Also note, that everything you need as a DK you will acquire through questing. Your mount, talents, gear, and weapon are all gained questing in Ebon Hold. It is said that EH will get you to 57 so there won’t be any need for old world questing. Here is a shot of the mount quest where some poor goat had to steal her future Death Pony:

Hey good job with the information coming in but I am quite dissapointed in one thing…The armor models for death knights are always on a female tauren which i think is one of the worse models to use to show the gear at its best. They do not show the boots well because all they have is hooves. And how about some male characters, i am not sexist but there is only female models shown really.

Don’t get too excited most people at that level have shit greens since old world azeroth itemization sucks and people often have 10 level old peices of gear, this guy is decked out in blues (and trinkets)and im sure the numbers on spells will be re adjusted
LOL! It’s not related with this subject but.. that night elf female has the actual look of my night elf hunter! and i mean actual! hair style, hair colour, skin colour, face markings all the same! :S

im trying to find the start of the quest line all you ppl in wolk beta should release this info aswell we all like the info about the gear and talants just give us the quest line plz i would like to know were i start this when it comes out

Wait… A new set of gear? Now I’ve seen 4 different lowbie DK sets (incl the screenshot blizzard posted like a year ago).
If I understand this right. You start with the black/dark blue set with a kind of viking helm with horns? Then you get that awsome set with the cape helm, and now.. where/when do you get this set? Did it replace any of the other two? I hope not.

Thnx for the modelling of the class and the races some of us female players love. At least I love to play my lvl 80 dk (bloodspecced). Good dps, good health as well as resilience, defence, AP and so forth. Amazing class, especially in pvp. Awesome Job :D
Yay for female models for the pwning, ganking dk-class :D
