[CONTEST] Design-a-Rune
We now know the history behind the runes. It appears that the art team scrapped the original runes because they were to complex to show the refresh inside the character portrait bar. When the F&F Alpha came out we quickly noticed the new runes that they are using instead. During WWI we found out that the new, replacement runes are only temperary while they design new ones.

What an awesome way to showcase our members graphics skills than to design our very own, in-house, DeathKnight.info runes! And to aim even higher?…what if one of you guys designed a rune so badass that Blizzard came begging to use them! How cool would it be to say that in-game art was designed from a fansite community? Well lets find out!
Here are the rules:
—Design (unique, don’t copy anything we have already seen) 4 different runes using the colors for them that are already in place. Frost, Unholy, Blood, Death runes.
—Make them simple enough that they are visibile inside a portrait bar. Meaning, dont make them too thin in any one area, you want something full enough that a refresh on a rune cooldown can be seen.
—IF we have five (5) or more people enter, then the winner will recieve a 60 day World of Warcraft game card.
—Dead line for entry will be Tuesday July 15th at 23:59 CST. Voting will then be July 16th until July 31st 23:59 CST.

Because I don’t have enough free time on my hands…. Since you have forced me, I accept your challenge…
This site is displaying Alpha leak info that Blizzard has shut down many other sites for displaying. I doubt they’ll take design suggestions from this site, as it is certainly not a an official fansite or it would have been stripped of that privelege.
That being said, it’s still a site I enjoy visiting, I’m not the copyright police, just don’t get your hopes up the Blizzard will ever recognize anything thise conteset produces :P.
You may very well be right. Couple things though. Which sites have they shut down? Also keep in mind that Blizzard tends to forgive and forget easy, just look at WorldofRaids. They wont ever say it, but they love all this free publicity and hype.
