Earthquake at Blizzard HQ, Azeroth Unaffected

LOS ANGELES - A strong earthquake shook Southern California on Tuesday, causing buildings to sway and triggering some precautionary evacuations. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The jolt was felt from Los Angeles to San Diego, and slightly in Las Vegas.

The 11:42 a.m. quake was initially estimated at 5.8 but was revised downward to magnitude-5.4, said seismologist Kate Hutton of the U.S. Geological Survey office in Pasadena. More than a dozen aftershocks quickly followed, the largest estimated at magnitude-3.8.

Hope everyone in that area is safe!

  1. I so felt it! I was in school! It was awesome!…… but scary.. kinda. Glad to hear the World of Warcraft is unharmed!

  2. 5.4 isn’t a little quake. It’s good to hear that everyone is okay.

  4. lol an earthquake on the San andreas fault line, who would have guessed.

  5. I’m about an hour north of Irvine, and I didn’t even feel it funny how these things affect the game world with out thinking about it.

  6. Wut WoW is stationed in the land of glitter and glamour? :P

  7. Haha, I was in Northridge at the time…
There were waves in the road and windows were bending.
But there wasn’t any damage to people or property I heard,
Just an intersection was a lil’ damage is all
Although people were scared about the earthquake being a for-shock for a bigger one o.O

  8. There will be a BIG one coming.

  9. Heard it was caused by someone critting an Improved Thunder Clap. Wasn’t me though.
