Hot Blogger Shows Us WotLK CE Cover
Over at Paladin Schmaladin some hot chick is saying that the above picture will be the cover of the upcoming Wrath of the Lich King Collectors Edition box.
Our friend Gene works at some printing press plant thing, where he’s in charge of proofing prints of DVDs, games, posters, etc. before they get shipped out. He called and told us they got the first print of the Lich King cover box and they they got word it’s going to be pushed back four months. Although knowing Blizzard, four months means 1st Fiscal Quarter 2010, just missing Christmas. That’s my guess. Anyway, Geneboy couldn’t smuggle out a box for us so he snapped a shot with his phone and sent it to Neil who showed me.
Pushed back 4 months? From when? The post this was made in was May 2. So September 2? Okay, I’ll take that!

Somehow I don’t think that a printing company would have much info on when Wrath will be released.

That box art is pretty old, it’s been on MMOC as well.
Okay, the distributors are telling retail stores that the ship date for WotLK is Nov. 3rd. I got that from a source at a retailer two months ago. I’ll check my source this weekend and see if the distributor date has changed.

It’s an old fake photoshopped from the TBC CE box. As already said, it was on several websites quite a while back.

It’s an old image, and probably not real, but we won’t know until Blizzard wants us to know. From what I’ve heard, Blizzard has stated they will not be making a collectors edition (which doesn’t make much sense to me).
It’ll probabley be released this year or early next year.

If you check that chick’s blog, a current posting has a pic of the WotLK standard packaging - front, side, and inslip. Looks pretty legit, very involved for a photoshop if it is.
I hope they have a CE of Wrath real bad. It would be nice if the CE looks like that too so it matches the BC CE, even though i don’t have it :(. If the do a Wrath CE I hope they have all the odds and end like the BC one had, with the Exclusive TCG cards (A Death Knight for both Alliance and Horde would be nice) and the Dvds and all that fun stuff, and maybe instead of a mousepad this time something else, so those people that use their BC mousepad won’t have to choose from 2 awsome ones. and a Northrend map
