Standard WotLK Box Leaked?
A few days ago, a blogger, who was described as “too hot for gaming”, reported that a friend of hers sent her a camera phone picture of the WotLK Collectors Edition box. Well now the same chick is reporting that the same friend sent her yet more pictures, only this time they are of the standard box. Now I’m just as skeptical as the rest, but why would someone spend time on a nice photoshop job only to take a shitty cell phone picture of it to spread it around? You be the judge:

tbh, it’s not a surprise if that IS in fact the real ‘to-be’ box of WotLK. Anyone would’ve seen that coming! =D

Looks legit. The CE box had me skeptical because from what I’ve heard Blizzard isn’t releasing a CE WotLK, but why wouldn’t they?
Blizzard have never said that they are not releasing a CE box, they have just said that they won’t decide on that until closer to the release. Some people read that as “we’re not gonna make a CE because we don’t have any current plans to make one”.
This one looks legit to me. I’d expect them to have started designing a box for the game by now, so it’s not too far-fetched.

I still decided to look for mistakes, and the most obvious one is that the box artwork that’s supposidly been photographed is on a slant, however, the print marking on the card in the second image isn’t on the the same slant. It’s a photoshop yet again imo.
Pretty bad fake at that if you compare it to the TBC box, they copied a lot very nice but mine says 12+ instead of T for teen. And next to the blizzard logo is supposed to have some stuff about a wow account being required and an internet connection being required. And on the side where it says windows and mac etc it supposed to say cdrom or dvdrom.
Indeed blizzard are using pegi.info and not T….however to be honest, who cares if its fake or not….the real one will have to be more or less like this one…

I don’t think it’s fake. On close inspection you can see that there is no slant. Plus the parts connecting the front and back plates would look the same, so why waste time puttinf two on the plans for it. Not to mention that I wouldn’t send it to a friend if I wanted attention, I’d send it here or to the forums.

um its a fake look at the previous boxes on the front they all state Internet Connection Required. also Additional Online fees Apply…and on the side it also states above the blizzard logo. First Month Of Play Included, Internet Connection Required, Additonal Online Fees Apply. you cant argue this stfu im stairing at the box’s now period the end it was a fake.
if you all haven’t noticed between the front cover and back cover there is no side panel.. o.O …. fake ?
If this is a fake, it sure as hell is a good one. But this could just be a work in progress of the box and blizzard will add everything else later. Just saying.
Well I gotta say this is pretty good, maybe a little too much Lich King though :P I get that that’s what the x-pac’s about but still, we need Death Knight pictures, Ebon Hold, something that’s on it as well!!
omg look at the old collector’s edition boxes they all look the same and from what i’ve seen there is not going to be any change only that this 1 will have som frost details instead of green and it will be blue instead of green or brown :P have seen it on http://www.cdon.com or some site like that

the standard box will probably look somewhat like that 1 with arthas on it standing with frostmourne either in his hands or stabbed in to the ground :P (but i really dont care about standard box ^^ collectors edition all the way!!!!)

I knew the leaked verison was offical because box art is the most leaked things in the game industry because they are normaly made by 3rd party companies. Oh and it’s not high-res because it was most likely taken with a cam-phone in a warhouse or factory. Learn people. box art is so easy to leak.
