We’ve been asking and hoping for cosmetic changes for a while now. In the latest beta build, Blizzard made the first step in giving Death Knights their own unique look. Blue-green glowing eyes! We are also getting a unique (deathly?) voice that has yet to be added, now all we need is a pale skin and we’re set!

night elves have always had somewhat glowing eyes so not much differentiation for them
but orcs, taurens, trolls, humans, and gnomes look pretty cool
Undead meh not much different like the night elves and dwarves don’t look that good either.

To be honest, that’s ridiculous. Death Knights are unholy, about death. Pale skin + scourge tattoos are the way to go. This ain’t some dumb anime. I really don’t like that change.
i think gnomes should not be death knights… draenei look way too cooler.
Frankly enough, I’m sick of these whining people about lore/coolness or whatever.
The reason the Death Knight is a class for all is because:

Your char started as a hero of class “X”, However he/she got killed. Now what does the Lich King, or any other Scourge with powers to rise corpses do? Well they have risen you (and others it seems) to be Death Knight Trainees/Acolytes due to your “power” in life. As a last note: The Lich King is NOT picky on wich race he converts thus converting anyone dead back to a Scourge member. You can’t “choose” to become a Death Knight, you’re forced to be one. [End Spoiler]
back to the eyes topic… honestly, I’m disappointed.
I’ve had my race and look picked out for my DK - human female - and I’ve had her name and model reserved for awhile.
For some it may well be cool, e.g. male Dwarves, NE, some Horde
But I would hope its an option, or at the very least not overdone
I really don’t need to play a character with ‘flashlight eyes’
Last time I checked Arthas got paler skin and you could see him and his eyes just fine. Some additional skin colors and options might be nice to facilitate, but I’m underwhelmed at this idea.

I myself think they look cool bcuz glpwing eyes meens that the person has much power in WOW and we all know DK’s have a very powerful spells and defense
I think it looks cool.
Gnome DKS are gonna happen. GET USED TO IT.
But if you check out what happens with Frozen Throne, as Arthas adorns the helmet of the Lich King, his eyes become a glowing blue hue. They are just taking that and extending it to the other Death Knights.

Plus, they doesnt look like “dead” (exept forsaken) as you all can see, so i assume theyre not “dead” and no acolyte or something has bring us back to life so, i do not know how these races became death knights..
tauren look the coolest with those eyes. terrifying.
i think a male BE/male human/male dwarf would look awsome just because of the fact they have the SKILLZ to be awsome if u know what ur doing

/shrug I just wanted to post as one counter-vote, I’d rather they not do that. If I wanted glowing eyes I’d play a NE, Forsaken.
I like a lot of what Blizz does, but some things I question - doesn’t make me less of a fan. But space cows and blood elves riding chocobos - both adds smacked more of disney than Warcraft.
Do I still enjoy my BE Paladin? No doubt - thankfully he’s got a much better mount too
But coming from warcraft3 and frozen throne do I wish more things from that made it over? Yes.
***Back on topic [lol] do I want my DK [without a helm] to have glowing eyes? No, that’s annoying IMO. If they can turn it off when you’re not wearing a helm, but turn it on when you are, awesome. Now I think THAT would be cool.

k have a question, this means that while playin a forzaken undead, you r “not” forzaken cuz you didnt wake up free from the mind control, instead you wake up infront of lich king? or you wake up as forzaken get killed and became a scourge again?
or maybe you where a human that get killed wake up as a scourge and get killed again wake up as a scourge again?

I would really like to see Male Drenei and female trolls/tauren with these eyes. Also on the mounts, I’m trying to reserve a name, but the one i want is really only for tauren and the male tauren look ridiculous on the DK mount.

Blizzard made the eyes glow to be consistent with what they were creating. All of the lich king’s servants have glowing blue eyes due to the necromantic power they were imbued with upon turning. I like the glowing eyes, and I hope that blizzard makes it optional if only for the fact that I don’t want to hear people complaining about it. You aren’t going to be playing a character with “flashlights” for eyes, they aren’t that bright, and as you’re going to be facing _away_ from your character for most of the game, I don’t see why it should matter to you anyway. Even a guy’s excuse of playing a girl so he can enjoy the butt he’s looking at all day is better than that, the rest is just being anal.
