The Next Gold Dump Will Be 8,000g

I kind of hope that’s wrong, because I was hoping for something a bit more exciting than a teleport rin.

The ring is sold by Tiffany Cartier who is a jewelcraft vendor on the Kirin Tor faction in Dalaran. So, technically you can grind rep with KT and save yourself some gold. I don’t think 8k gold will be that much once we hit 80, but I just can’t see myself ever buying one of these. (That is unless the stats are far superior than anything obtainable for some time)

It’s more the fact that you can teleport that makes it nice.
I’m sure the stats will be compareable to the currend day ilvl 100 epic rings.

I guess they will change the price, it looks a bit high. Might just be a “placeholder” price ;).

That isnt ilvl 100…? is it?
What level is that ring looks more like black temple standard to me.

Or you can just play a mage and not have to buy the ring. =P

It’s probably just something there if you want to get it, something nice to have, but not necessary (well, not really, but it IS *very* nice to have) like the epic flyer if you do any amount of travelling in outland (and northrend post 77). Something similar to the 1200 gold 22 slot bags. This is for the people who already have obscene amounts of gold saved up. (You know, 40000+ gold)

Looking at the highest spell ring currently in the game it has +27 stm +28 int +30 haste +34 spell power +8mp5… people are looking at these rings and compairing them to their standard epic gear they have such as their chest peices, which people have to remember that rings and trinkets have the lowest stats compaired to the other gear (which might be why rings and trinkets you get 2 of, to make up for their lack of huge stats). Look at it compaired toRing of Flowing life

+22 more stm, +6 more int, +36 more crit, +8 more haste, +25 more spell power -8mp5

Now if you don’t think that is good upgrade for a ring, rembeber that that is practicly a blue 70 ring of an incress, rings don’t get huge stats and that is actualy a very nice upgrade for an Intro epic… that is just buying a ring not even having to do raids or what not which would be better.

8k Gold is not a big deal, but no Strength -> bad for DKs.

I’ll save a few thousand gold and just bind my hearthstone there instead :S

  • Arancar said:

But if you buy this ring, you will have a second ‘hearthstone’ I think. So, you can have 2x Hearthstone per hour to dalaran, or just set your HS somewhere where you spent your time, and the ring will get you to Dalaran… Its well worth the 8k g, considdering the stats, and the hearthstone part.

  • Pusya said:

You really need second HS when here portals to all capitals?

    Wow 8000G >.<

Men crazy a bit for 8k sinbc eim a mage wont have to bother :) but still those stat no strenght no good For Dk like thalin said i just hope they will change it i nheed to spare gold lol to buy epic flying mount

  • Grev said:

Honestly if i bought it it would have to be for the stats rogue engineer means i never have to leave northrend for anything but respecs.. if i have to do that more then 1 time perhour then shoot me

Gold really isnt that hard to get. With the 25 daily cap now, you can make 250g a day without trying. Add farming to that and yor at ~500g a day at level 70. Now add numerous 70s you may have for more dailies.. You could have this in prolly a month. Now add the huge economy change that will happen with WotLK. Happened with TBC too… 650g for a mount was nuts and only a quarter of all servers had one.. now half of the server has a 5k gold mount…
