Token System to Save Bag Space?
So first mounts and pets are getting cleared from our bags, now looks like various tokens are coming out too! Xaboro over at the NeoGAF forums found the new system by randomly typing in /token (same way /achievement was found). It looks like an interesting system and much needed.
I guess my main question is, WTF helm is that poor DK wearing ? looks like a mid 40’s Hunter.

I think by doing this Blizzard is avoiding making 50 slot bags. Honestly, I like this idea, rather than having to get huge bags to carry my 12 mounts, 27 pets, and 400 BG tokens. Looks good.
And before anyone says something, no, I don’t carry all that stuff with me, it was just an exaggerated example.
In reply to your “what is that poor DK” waring for a helm question I do believe it is the helm reward for doing that “group” quest in terroker, group in quotes since most classes can solo that elite…. looked it up “The Elusive Ironjaw” is the alliance version and “Welcoming the Wolf Spirit” is the horde version

BG Tokens, Sporregar Glowcaps, Halaa Tokens, Holiday currency (Such as the fire blossoms, from the fire fest) any type of currency I’m guessing
i guess tokens wont be physical items anymore,
but more like different kind of points (arena points, honor points)

I wondered if this was coming at some point in time. Inventory space is the hardest thing to add and uses more memory resources then anything else in the game. By implementing the pet/token storage system they are saving a ton of resources and effectively giving us more storage space without giving us more physical inventory slots.
This is sooo needed… I play ‘pass items in email’ game waaay too much, I have to watch the 30 day timers, all these things will be very handy, indeed! Be nice if they did Mats that way a bit too (GuildWars did that a bit) and/or stacked things more.
Giving us something to do with the soulbounds we dont want to destroy is great I’d actually avoid some things that generated em.
That video doesn’t really prove a whole lot. a blue geared DK fighting a Season 3 warlock is a bit unbalanced. DK’s may have less mobility but a lot of their skills are ranged, plus it’s still in beta.

Well even if you hadn’t been paying attention to plate gear you should have atleast seen this if you did the quest because the cloth leather mail and plate all look exactly the same for this quest. But yes unless your a hunter or a druid you should turn off show helm while you are waring this since it only looks good on hunters or druids since it goes more along with what they are then the other classes.

Now to bad there isnt a “Quest item bag/token/whatever you wanta call it” thing yet The amount of space quest items takes up is huge, heck my hunter only has 1 usable bag after everything he needs, 1 bag of ammo, 1 bag of meat for pet/mounts/foodwater forself, 1 bag just filled with quest items for all the quests I am working on, which leaves only 1 bag (and backpack) for drops, now if I was to actualy both gathering with my hunter at the same time (alchy/herb) you can replace that 1 free bag with a herb bag and hey I just have my backpack for drops which is why I never gather and quest at the same time (yes I have to pass up alot of money due to what a hunter needs and what he has room for.

Yeah this is an awesome idea, as a warrior having to lug so much around i only have one free to one and a half free bags… wait this isnt goin to help me and my armor storage!! god dam it witsh they would release some info on the wardrobe system!

In reply to “The helm looks like one of the terrokar/nagrand shaman mail helms.”, well yeah as I just stated before you the cloth, leather, MAIL, and plate of this specific terrokar quest all have the same graphics, it should look alot like your mail peice even though its plate due to even the clothie version from the quest looks like your plate which doesn’t really make since I mean since when has a dead wolves head been made out of cloth, or even mail/plate, all the graphics all look like they should be leather even though they are their respective type.

“that helm comes from alerien stronghold quest”… yes and no, there is a horde version of the quest also, I have already posted the horde and alliance versions of the quests up higher, I am pretty sure the horde version you DON’T pick up in an alliance town :)
