Content Patch 3.0 Coming Soon!

We saw this with The Burning Crusade, 2.0 was released about a month and a half before the actual release of the expansion. Just as expected, it’s gonna happen again! Soon! Early November release date anyone?

With the release of Wrath of the Lich King approaching, we wanted to provide you with some important information. In preparation for the expansion, we will be issuing a new content patch in the coming weeks. Much like the patch made available shortly before The Burning Crusade’s release, this content patch is designed to bridge current game content with that of the expansion and will contain some exciting changes and additions.

We have outlined some of the larger features scheduled to release with the patch below:

New class spells and talents
Stormwind Harbor
Barbershops in capital cities
Zeppelin towers outside of Orgrimmar and Tirisfal Glades
Two brand-new Arenas featuring challenging new layouts, terrain hazards, and moving obstacles
Guild calendar
Hunter pet skill revamp
New profession: Inscription

As mentioned above, this is not a comprehensive list, just some of the major highlights. We’ll post the full patch notes as soon as they’re available. Regarding Inscription, please note that all Burning Crusade players will be able to select Inscription as one of their two professions and level up to a skill level of 375 with it. Upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King, players who purchase and install the expansion will be able to continue leveling in Inscription and the other professions beyond 375.

well this may be a long shot but since there is not any new race to have a flood of level 1s running around, inscription coming out pre expansion up to 375 could seem possible as blizzard might have the “northerend now! screw leveling the new prof its already 375!” unlike how JC didnt come out pre exp b/c of belfs and drans
time to hurry up and pick belf or human :X

Yeah they will probably do Inscription like they did Jewel Crafting for BC, when they did that pre-month patch thingy. I remember all the Trade guys had the Designs everywhere, and I bought boat-loads of em, you just couldn’t actually learn the skill because you had to have the expansion for that anyhow. I’ll probably buy loads of Inscription formulas this go around, and now I gotta go stock-up on Herbs.

Barbershops, harbor, zepplin towers,… hm, makes me wonder… the harbor and zepplins can’t be unaccesable till the release so I guess people will be swarming that, yet they’re saying Inscription is pre-release also… then what about new hairstyles and the ability to change them in those new barbershops?

In the same post Eyonix states that inscription is available to all BC oweners and that trainers will be located in the major cities. You can raise the skill to 375, but will need to have the expansion to go beyond that.

There will be 2 new towers. Those towers will be starting points of the zeppelin to Northrend.

Hurray. This is good news.
I bet the patch will come out when Warhammer launches to take a little thunder away from it.
This is really good news since it means Wrath will probably be out early November.

I doubt DK’s will be playable if you don’t have WotLK… the Death Knight is a major feature in WotLK so it would be silly to already give people the class for 55-70.

I think, if you look up above the FP in Ogrim, there is a zep up there. And I know if you talk to some of the NPC’s in SW they are getting ready to blow up the wall. It’s coming soon people! Woo, I can’t wait.
