Leipzig Update

DKinfo member Bouregard has spent two days in Leipzig at the Games Convention and has posted some pictures of his experience. It appears that Blizzard shot its ”big news” wad with the WotLK cinematic release. But, what is left to announce? The release date? I’m sure they are saving that announcement for Blizzcon. Here are some of his highlights:

  • The Blizzard stand is cut in to two parts, WotLK and Starcraft 2. (no Diablo? wtf)
  • Each side has nearly 40 stations to play the WotLK and SC2 beta.
  • In the middle is a huge screen showing recent Blizzard game trailers.
  • Every few hours a European Blizzard CM will give a brainless quiz for various prizes (mouse pads, shirts, mini figures).

Today’s big event was the SK-Gaming live raid on Sunwell. They faced M’uru and Kil’Jaeden. M’uru went down first try, while KJ was taken care of after a first attempt wipe. Below is a gallery of the pictures he posted in the forums:

Awesome. I should’ve gone. Not too far from me (by plane)

I have that WoW questgiver tshirt. I actually wore it to my local metal club tonight. I gave out SO many fucking quests.

Looks like some GM was the “live cam” watching the SK raid go through the instance right?

Anon you’re right. They switched between a few views (A doubleglaive rogue, a healshaman and a “spectator”) Even as Sk fully whiped the camera was stil flooting and watching Kil’jaden so I also suspect it was a GM mode. It was done on a eventserver (say: official private server^^) where SK members could copy their charackters on. Most of them played from at home. But they that are filmed had to play on GC. Yes doubleglaive rogue without Omen or threadmeter ^^
