New Hairstyles Datamined?
Wowinsider posted about the new hairstyles that apparently where datamined by Andrige. There are disclaimers that he wasn’t real familiar with the current hairstyles, so some of them may be old ones. You be the judge:

it looks like all of these are the old hairstyles but applied to different races. it’s cool seeing some of the combination’s, but it’s not so much new hairstyles.
This can’t possibly be new hairstyles, 70% of them are just from the other races. All of the male draenei ones are male belf hairstyles.

hmm, sure this isn’t fake? If this really is the “new” hairstyles it might just be just as good sticking with the old ones :P

Seems a bit fake imo, it’s just hairstyles from other races pasted on another race for example Belf female hair is now also human female hair. And some pics just look horribly deformed.
Well, i can only hope that most of these are fake, but there are some additions that are to my liking…

Meh, it’s still Beta so not that much harm done (unless this is unchanged content) Hopefully Blizzard will come up with more “New” hairstyles instead of copy/past’ing over 3/5 of the added hairstyles from other races.
It’s Sad that blizzard still hasn’t realized that even though it’s a fantasy-game… you don’t have to resort to Anime Hairstyles.
every hairstyle except the Tauren and Troll Male hair are just hairstyles ripped from other races. And why wouldn’t fantasy games have anime hairstyles? It’s a fantasy game. As in: you can have your hair as ridiculous as you want it.
Yeah, it seems pretty iffy.
And no one said the hair couldn’t be ridiculous, but uh… Anime is the worst thing that Japan has done to us since World War II. Ughhh.
In response to lolanime, please elaborate on why you feel that way about Anime. I’m all for opinions, but outlandish claims such as yours are ridiculous and should be kept to yourself.

I’m going to say these are fake, as most, if not all, were already used for other races (not including Tauren, but a lot of those are just… odd.)
And I agree with lolanime. 90% of anime is terrible cliched themes with protagonists who look like women which anime fans use to craft a warped idea of ‘Japanese culture’. At first it was funny, but now it’s embarrassing when I realize these people are actually human beings.
So Laughable, each an devery Haistyle exiting plasstered on another Race… Fake, i think, bit exactly what Blizz would do… Rewarm old Stuff.
If you actually go look at the models from the latest patch the geometry sets are there for the “new” hairstyles. The geosets for the gnome female styles are 20-25 and the night elf mohawk is 25 just to name a couple for example.
Whether or not they ever actually get added to the game in this state is of course up in the air, wouldn’t be the first or last time Blizzard used placeholder graphics in a beta.
I forsee night elf males named MrT with a mohawk.
While it is true that quite a few are from different races, there are some brand new ones in there.
Last Gnome Fem, middle NE male hair, Tauren horns, first and third NE fem are all new.
I think they’re real. One of the first pictures leaked for this feature showed a male belf with tauren horns. This leads me to think that the “new” will really be “now available” which means my female belf can finally have the dranei pigtails she’s always wanted.
only like 20% are new, Humans got BE hairstyles, BE got NE Orc got Undead, Undead got human etc.

These are totally fake… look at the male draenei hair cuts… remember that in the game every heair style the draenei have changes their forehead spikeyness look as well? well none of those styles are new… and since i doubt blizz would seperate the hair and forehead styles for them since it would give them one more option than everyone else then this is proof that these are either bs or crappy placeholders… and if you zoom in on the nelf fauxhawk (mohawks have shaved sides) you can see that the texture doesnt match the rest of his hair… and also if you remember the bard april fools joke thing had a animation of a forsaken one on there with slicked back black hair… why wouldnt they put that one in?…
and besides all that evidence… the fact that some random blogger found these before wotlkwiki or wowinsider or wowhead or mmochampion? total bs… fake i say… FAKE!!!
For those who are screaming ZOMG FAKE, consider a few things. First off , this is beta, also, if you dig into it, there’s instructions on how to extract these from the beta files on the blogs linked from here, just browse the comments for a bit.
For the draenei, they need some editing. These aren’t ingame yet, so they’re probably halfassed testing versions, and many might not even see the light of day, ones that don’t match will be altered to match as time goes on.
Wouldn’t put it past them to let some slip into the game with mistakes, I haven’t seen a female troll blink yet. ^-^
Lunati, they are screaming “ZOMG FAKE” because the original poster at Resto4Life made them himself, and even said so. He doesn’t lots of model shapeshifts. Wowinsider jumped the gun and said they were official, and then Deathknight.info reposted the same thing. It’s just a giant wave of misinformation caused by a few ignorant mistakes.
Note: Now I can’t find where it said he made them, perhaps it was on Big Bear Butt, but no matter, even withotu a confession, it’s likely that someone who is famous for model edits submitted hairstyles that were simply editted.
They might aswell be real. Noone ever talked about NEW hairstyles. Blizzard might aswell just make all hairstyles available to all races? Youre looking at it from the wrong point of view :P

Seriously though, if this is real. The human hairstyles are quite possibly the most retarded thing I have ever seen. This is not an anime game, we do not need electrocuted hair.

Jesus people… you talk like they did this permanently and on live. -_- when the hair system first came out they used other races hair on others just to see if the system worked. It’s not like the beta has a few more MONTHS to go before its the actual REAL GAME.
“The first NE Female isn’t new, it’s a dwarf female style. Looks to me like all the NE male ones are new. The gnome mohawk (orc has it too) also looks new. I really wanted ‘fros for my gnomes. Cotton candy heads. Pink ones. The new female gnome haircuts look positively hideous, they aren’t even a slight improvement to the current ones. I hope they don’t make it to live.

Sorry to say but these are real, If you watch the WOTLK Videos they do have those hair styles. Human one with the long hair looks the best. I was hoping for long hair on the Undead Male For a rocker thing
