The Transformation is Complete
First they gave us the voice, then the eyes, now we will have three choices of skins as well!
The new beta build yesterday brought a nice surprise in the form of three “undead” looking skins to chose from. Colors range from pale white, ghastly green and ebon black. Rumor also has it that there is also a new “frost” breath animation. I’ll post pictures and or a video once that is confirmed.
Here are shots of every race and gender minus undead. Word is there’s not much more you can do to them to make them look anymore undead.
It’s kind of nice, I’ll get to be a Human but look like an Undead without the humpback! Check out this thread in the forums for a full discussion!

I haven’t ever posted about it here, mostly because the voices are not implemented yet. It has been stated though that DK’s will have a unique sounding voice for various emotes and such.

Hm… I Hope those 3 skins are apply-able on every race, a green skinned BE looks darn bad :p
Having some of the older skins would be nce too though, for the people who want to make a DK that looks “fresher” or simply less dead.
Question : can you still use the old skin colours ? Becouse in some cases this will just discourage me to play one !

A death knight with pink skin wouldn’t make much sense. Not in Azeroth.
Orc’s Look so scary with them big shoulders and and pale skin o.o its something to run from with out [Fear]…. s..ca..r.y!

Is it just me, or do the eyes on the Female humans seem abnormally huge?

Well that is correct, but if you look at their faces it seems like the face almost completely has sunken away, showing some more skeletal facial features.I’d prefer a DK myself who looks a bit “fresher” in the sense of a more normal, less sunken face. =/
Blood Elf females extra skins/dead faces aren’t yet implemented. That’s just a normal skintone in that screenshot.

Unless you can find bruce willis, i heard he did amazing work on his undead wife and her friend [the friend had a big shotgun hole in her] to make them look normal.
Spray paint does wonders.
Love all the models. just what i expected out of a death knight. you can see the mental and physical anguish they’ve gone through.
I hope sylvanas gets her own skin now…

tho I dunno if I stick with human female now though, those eyes look even more ridiculous in those pics, seemingly bigger.
If it could be just with helmet or you could turn off the bright orbs/flashlights that are now the eyes =b
On the flip-side draenei look more viable than previously, as I couldnt of imagined a DK in their fruity-licious original colors

I don’t think pink is one of the undead hair colors. If you notice, the undead skins come with undead hair too.
Therefore, unless DKs can also use old skins, you can’t make a pink-haired gnome DK. Maybe one with reddish hair, but not pink.
I you read the comments, it says you can use the old skins…
undead dont get any new skins because they already look dead
There won’t be any regular skin colors, only those dead ones.
And if you too scary to play one go play in a sandbox kiddo.
I think this sucks!
Why did they do this? Now every single race looks like the Undead… Blizzard went wrong here. To much of a “We want to please the players”. They should just left the skins normal.

The sickly pale green skin on the female space goat looks superb. Can’t wait!
I like the new skins, but I think I may prefer a Dk which doesn’t look so dead.. Ok they ARE dead, but does that mean that everyone should make a green or white skinned dk with a fugly blue hair?

That weird sallow skin tone isn’t the only one they’ve got for draenei, is it? Because it just doesn’t seem right. (I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for something grayish rather than yellowish.)
Orcs and trolls on the other hand? Perfect. (WOTLkWiki has some sample pictures as well: The new skins manage to make a “cutefase” look scary, and that, IMO, is a graphical coup.)
Do we have to use one of these skins?
i know this is an old topic but… i have to point out, that the face of the orc is exactly the same as the emblem on his chest >.<
I can’t wait till WotLK is out… a bit more than one Month to go >_< I think i make a 1 Month “Wintersleep” XD Deathknight, a Dream is becoming True… thanks Blizzard!
