Unholy Tanking
Unholy is sure starting to look too good to pass up. Being able to spec for PvP and tanking at the same time just has huge appeal for me. On top of that, and I hope this doesn’t get nerfed, the speed in which AE tanking makes running an instance. Take a look at Jayde’s new video, it shows a steam roll through Drak’Theron with him tanking with a Unholy build. He even mentions that this video was shot wearing all DPS gear. Hmm…
Overall I like it a lot. I had about 12% parry, 8% dodge, 16k armor, and 3 oh shit buttons with Lichborne, IBF, and Bone armor.
Combine that way multiple ways to grab and hold onto AOE agro, and instances get cleared very quickly.
Also I might note: I was doing roughly 1500 DPS the entire instance, while in frost presence. Granted, that probably has to do with the hunter serpent sting bug (targets take a ton more damage with serpent sting up right now for some reason). However, I was still #1 on damage with another 77 DK who was blood, a 75 hunter, and a 76 warlock with me. The paladin was holy.

Again another great vid, showing some more eye-candy about DK’s. Makes me kinda envy the guys & girls in beta even more now. =P
One question though… what was that spell where the ground turned all creepy & such, with zombie hands clawing out of it?

Who was the big skeletal windserpent?
The Prophet Tharon’ja was the windserpent boss. It “steals” your flesh making you a skeleton and Tharon’ja non-skeletal.
Seeing that the hunter is using golden bow of quel thas , he is doing pretty terrible DPS if he didnt beat 1500.
Be almost sure that the Golden Bow of Quel’Thas would be out-dated by then. And unlikely to keep up with the new equips people are wearing. But then again, I could be wrong.
Can i ask what actual rotation are you using for tanking in this spec ?
Couple quick questions.
What is the average level that is supposed to be in that instance?
I saw you’re DK, another DK, a Hunter, and a Warlock. What was the 5th member?
What level are some of the mobs you’re fighting in there?
How do I kung-fu like you-do? ^_^ jk

If you zoom in on that spot on the vid, it looks like it is still yellow to her…To me this is disapointing, as the dungions look to easy, and the gear generation must be as well, because everyone passed on that blue that poped up. Maby this is just for the beta, I need a chalange in wotlk, they are making us hellalot more powerful, but is the rest of the world dosnt then its just guna be to easy…

Remeber Samji Wahala, if that Blue was cloth and there is only one cloth wearer it is quit probable that the only person that could have any use for it already had it from they have probably run it more then once already…
The other possibility is since the group was 77 DK(blood), 75 hunter, 76 warlock, paladin(holy), with me.
If the drop was leather the lock could not use, the tank classes wouldn’t give up that much armor for barley any better stats then they already have, which leaves just the hunter and holy paladin, where as if it didn’t have better +spell power (since I guess no more +heal/+spell damage) then paladin wouldn’t want and same with the hunter except replace the word spell power with whatever stat that hunters now want.
I’m a bit frustated with a decsion between DK and Prot Pally… I want to tank and i like the way both tank D:. I would rather be the one that will probably tank things the best. Any thoughts on the difference between pally tank and dk tank?
I am also very curious to find out what your spell rotations were.
