Another Chance for a Beta Key at DKinfo! [UPDATED!]
Today I got my hands on an opt-in key and want to give it some some lucky DK.info member. So here are the rules.
- Log in to the forums and post 1 reply to this thread. FREE BETA KEY THREAD! ONLY 1 POST PER PERSON! This will be enforced! I can scan your IP address with one click, if you have multiple accounts they will all be banned and your chance at the key will be deleted. I don’t care how many replies the thread gets, this will be checked!
- The thread will be locked Sunday September 14th at 2100 CST. The winner will be picked via a random /roll 2 (the number of replies) on Northrend server along with whoever wants to witness the roll.
- The key will be mailed to the email address that is on file for the forum account.
It’s that simple, 1 reply NO MORE! Good luck!

Huge Note!! anyone that knows the answer to this please post in this posts comments. The opt-in key is from a US account. I am not sure if the keys are universal or not. That is a risk that EU people may be taking and I will not award the key to a EU account until I know for sure if it will work.

i ve heard you can ring up blizz and change a us to eu i think thats what i heard i dont know if its true tho
Do you really want people with only 1 post to be eligible, or would you prefer the key went to someone who’s contributed to the site for say at least 10 posts.
(You could then vet the winner by checking his posts, to make sure they weren’t just spam/fillers).
hmmm….Somebody want to have bigger chance :-) no offense, but many people are not interested of writting to forum…i was just read it…”just” readers may be punished?
so…i will try find answer for EU/US keys….it can increase chance os US players. (unfortunately i am EU :-( )
US keys are only for US.

I do think this is funny there are so many people with just one post, kinda like they just signed up to get a beta key…
I am one of the people with just 1 reply and yes, I signed up only so that I could post for the beta key but it’s not like I’m new here. I have been reading these forums for months, before this site got this popular. I even check the site every day when I get home for new deathknight news. I don’t think that people with 1 post should get less of a chance to win the key.

I have a few more than one post, but I think the people with one post should be counted. I mean, I read this site constantly, even have it set to my homepage. But like alot of people I’m not in the beta so I don’t have much to contribute, so I don’t post much. I’m not gonna fill the message boards with useless junk just to get noticed. Readers <3 this site too. =)
The keys are region specific, Euro keys cannot be used in the US and vice versa. Through some pathetic twist of fate I recieved a euro key I cannot use.
I have put a thread up in General to discuss the EU-USA key issue. There are many people who say you just email blizzard to have it switched.

I’m one of those 1 post ppl never had much constructive to say cause it was always already posted said or topic closed. i’m a big supporter of this site it’s one of the best go to site for info out there even tho some don’t know it! i refer ppl here all the time from my guild rl frined in wow ect.

See above RE only signing up for the competition – Not being in the beta already, I think it best not to clutter the forums with my uninformed opinions. :P
Well let’s hope that kind of key is also usable on EU server.

its dosen’t matter for me i have both Us & EU account :D ,anyway if i dont get that beta key i have to blow my head up !!! and i think you dont want a dead member also there is no Grave with a sprit healer in real world to respawn myselfe!!! so i Really need that beta key !!! In Any reigon dosen’t matter I just need a Beta key…
Just out of curiosity, what if you go through a proxy server? And what if multiple people behind said proxy server apply? Won’t that mess up the whole “I’m checking your IP address” thing?
Hey, I just got my Beta Key yesterday! YEA! So I won´t compete for the Key ;). But guess what… I went to Blizzcon 2007 and had a guaranteed Beta Key from there… But Blizz send me an US Key which didn´t work on my EU Acc. And there really is a way to chance a Key from US to EU and vice versa (”just” email your problem to wowbetatech@blizzard.com and they will “help” you) but it took them a veeeery long time. Got the US Key und July 22nd. And the translated Key after a gazillion mails and phone calls (like I said) just Yesterday 12th of September… Might have been a whole lot of bad luck or it´s just not the fastest way to go… :/ don´t know for sure… It´s possible to change a Region Key, but I guess you can´t predict the time it takes. Maybe they can do it in 3 days also. Not too much help I know, but just my experience ;).
