Kysen posted a very detailed post showing numbers with a blood build post 8905. Here are his stats, some screenshots and a video of his testing:

The reason why so many are seeing such low numbers is because they forget they are running around in quest greens/blues with abysmal stats and a weak top end 2h. Does a warrior/paladin in greens/blues at 70 do good dps? Like them we scale alot more with gear. A few tweaks here and there and I believe we are balanced (DnD needs a serious buff).

This patch we got boss level training dummies so I logged on to see the real impact of the “nerfs”. The current gear im using is 4/5 80 pvp set, pvp 2h, belt, bracers and boots. The rest of the slots have green items in.

He tested for 5 min, sustained 2k DPS and used this build. So fear not, Death Knights are fine, it’s just a little shocking seeing this much balance at once.

hmm interesting, he doesnt have Icy Talons, nor does he have Necrosis… i was thinking that it is a “must have” to have one of them at least…

thought of a blood build with at least 16 points in onholy to get necrosis and both +strength modifiers…

zero misses, zero dodges, just a very few parrys.

this is NEVER ever true for a real 80 boss mob.

what is the skill/talent that triggers that anoying scream animation all the time?

A level 80(in pretty good gear) doing 2000 dps on a 0 armor mob is kinda crap. And blood is probably the spec that got hit the softest with the whole super nerf. Death knights have a ways to go before they’re back up to the same level as the majority of the other classes.

Let’s just hope Blizz is able to do it before the actual expansion.

Well let’s look at this another way say your unholy andyour lvl 70 and lets say that you applied 4 possible deseases on the target and used plauge strike, and your normal hits do about 1000 damage(white) now do the math 1000+500+500+500+500+333=3333
keep in mind this is rank one and uncritted so right now I’m thinkin that that aint to bad

and even then if the death knight sounds like it sucks then how about this: get off your DK log off quit and stop playing Wow because a vast majority of you who think so are the same people who critisize everything Blizz does.
