A Small 9061 and Some Video

9061 was deployed last night and it appears to just be a patch for bug fixes. This is a good sign and makes me believe they will only be doing these “finishing touches” from here on out. I don’t expect to see any more huge changes. Here are the DK changes as well as some blue posts.

GC on BCB Changes

We did a nice long test of BCB recently and it seemed to be proc’ing correctly. Because the free strike is a normal attack though, it can be dodged, blocked or parried. That’s why we decided to increase the chance.

If you spec it, you’ll get an appropriate dps return. It’s not a near-mandtory talent like Bloody Vengeance or Ebon Plague though. It depends a little on your tolerance for random numbers too.

GC on Dancing Rune Weapon

From all of our tests, we concluded Dancing Rune Weapon is still probably the most powerful ability death knights have in terms of raw damage. It can add 200 dps easily to a level 80 death knight. You probably won’t get much out of it while leveling unless you’re pulling really large groups.

I actually like the long cooldown better. It was weird having it up 25% of the time.

GC says Glyphs are pretty much done short of the tuning.

One of things about glyphs is they are a trade skill. That means we plan on adding more and more over time. We also have no problem having more than one glyph per skill. The catch is you can only have a few on you at one time.

We probably won’t add too many more glyphs before ship, but if you have feedback on existing ones, now is a good time.

Here are a couple of videos that was emailed to me over the past couple weeks. Figured now was the best time to fit them in. The first is the oldest, it shows some Unholy AOE by a 67 Death Knight. It’s from an older build, but is still pretty much viable with todays build. Here is his build.
