Design DKiRunes’ Disease Contest
DeathKnight.info Runes is the result of the DKi community displaying their individual skills, and then asserting their opinions of what would work best. The quality is reflected in the over 20,000 downloads the AddOn has had in the last week. But it still needs more. I find the ommission of a disease tracker lacking, but feel the icons for the DoTs with timers over them is unimaginative. I need a good idea.
So in the spirit of the Design a Rune Contest, I would like to sponsor a Design a Disease Contest. The winner will have their design included in the DeathKnight.info Runes AddOn and I will also give them a 60 Day WoW Gamecard.
What you have to do is take the following graphic and design an interesting way to track the diseases that Death Knights need to be aware of. You must be able to track three diseases simultaneously:
1) Frost Fever
2) Blood Plague
3) Crypt Fever / Ebon Plaguebringer ( different ways to display each would be preferred )
use the following graphic as your template to edit (where the link goes, not the thumbnail!):
and you must follow these rules:
1) Do not exceed the 512×256 size of the picture. We want to try to keep it compact.
2) It should be clear when a disease is applied.
3) It should somehow indicate how long until the disease expires.
4) Be creative! Make it look awesome!
Deadline for the entries will be December 2, 2008 at 23:59 CST. The community will then vote for a winner for two weeks, voting will end December 16, 2008 at 21:00 CST.

I have a suggestion for this addon.
I think we should get the option to include the little ‘rune fill-up’ cooldown kind of thing.
It honestly gets on my nerves when I’ve got numerous runes cooling down.
It looks kind of weird.
I’d much rather a simple fading effect.
Also, is there anywhere I can download something similar to this addon, but with the design of the Greatsword of the Ebon Blade instead?

Any chance to have the working addon out, anytime soon?
Maybe a beta version, to bugtracking maybe?
Please, I have seen quite a few addons to show timers on diseases, but noone looks like this one.
I like the idea of timers to show below the rune info.
Hope this addon is not abandoned.
I plan to have a beta version ready by the end of the month.
