I’m done with world, server, and region firsts; it’s just too hard to keep up with and can get somewhat silly. First Death Knight to make Goretusk Liver Pie! Seriously though, what I’m not tired of is the awesome emails you guys continue to send in. What better place to post frontpage news of things Death Knights are doing in the community! Keep them coming! (It helps though if you are sending in a story to give you character name and server and a video is a huge plus!)
Felblood (server unknown armory link is a solid guess) sent in pics of his solo kill of Hakkar in ZG. Huge feat? Not really, but for you reputation and achievement and or mount hunter freaks you might be glad to know you can do it! He did mention in his email that he did a full solo clear!
Falie sent in word of a new, “outside the box”, mod for us Death Knights. It’s called Face Smasher. To save any confusion and from me butchering a description, I’ll quote directly from Curse.
A priority system for Death Knights. It analyzes your runes and runic power, as well as the status of your diseases, and suggests what you should be casting next.
It gives up to 5 separate suggests. The middle (largest) suggestion is for single target max dps. The right suggestion is for AoE dps/tanking. The left suggest is a defensive suggestion. The mid-left suggestion is for Rune Strike / Horn of Winter, and the mid-right suggestion is for spell interruption. You still have to pick which direction you want to go at the moment, but Face Smasher tries to show you your best options.
This does not replace your spell bars. This addon is not click-able or bind-able in any way, nor will it ever be. It’s a mere suggestion.

Props to the DK who cleared a 20 man instance solo. Now lets see him doing it without clearing the sub-bosses :). Has anyone done that? That should be an achievement in itself.
That mod looks most excellent as well and I’ll have to give it a try. I hope it isn’t a must have though. Too many DKs mash buttons without thinking already and I don’t want to see mods add to that problem. I hope it does well and training players on a proper rotation.

The diablo interface is basically just an image underlay. The only functionality it has is the orbs. The buttons are placed using bartender.
The gap between the image and my presence is for my ghoul.
Its dead sexy though.

Quit simply I hate to see these “I solo’d a 40 man raid instance” posts, yes I do realize that this is a 20 man and not 40 but the point is the same… Reason I hate to see this is because you might as well be shooting…
Hunter- “Please take away pets I do to much damage without ever taking any”
Mage- “Please take away my water I don’t like groups asking for it”
Paladin- “Please remove all my heals why should I have plate and be able to heal”
Priest-”Please take away all damage spells, I am suppose to only heal ever”
etc…
Yeah its great that you could, but don’t be posting it everywhere or every class will get another nerf next patch… Again hey if you can do it grats, great for you, but don’t be going “hey Blizz look at how strong I am, I just 1 maned a 20 man instance only 20 levels above its original meant level”
Anyways grats but please if you figure a bug to solo a heroic BC raid instance please don’t post how to do it, just be glad that you can until someone else posts how, because Blizz knows these bugs, they just figure, meh not worth the time removing until someone else figures it out then we will fix it… just like the WSG glitch something to do with the alliance rooftop, it was there until people youtubed it then blizz fixed it next patch.
I want to see a SS of every boss being solo killed befor bragging about it please :) (not that im being to CARE i just want to know if its really posible, amazing if it is)
I solo’d ZG aswell up to Hakkar.
He would mindcontrol me roughly every 20%, my trinket wouldnt be off CD for second MC and bang -> Hakkar resets to full hp. Happened over 10x – every MC = evade + fullhp.
Only way to do it from what Is ee is anoher person to take it when your MC’d (ghoul lolz!?) or VERY lucky on MC’s + having trinket rdy for them.
Any tips?
I was just wondering, if the guy said he did a full clear, how did he manage to do spider boss when she is immune to our interrupts. She heals like 20% health per heal and we dont have enough dps to kill her before she heals. just wondering..
1: Don’t bring another body to Hakkar. If you don’t have a Ghoul/Gargoyle out, you never get MC’d.
2: The Spider boss is not immune to interrupts.
I’ve soloed everything up to hakkar as well – i dont have a ghoul or gargoyle out.. he goes to MC me but since he cant he just plain resets.. does this happen to anyone else?
Something else has to be on his threat list in order to MC you. Dancing Rune Weapon/Bloodworms would also be the culprit.
I just solo’d hakkar aswell very easy trickiest boss was tiger since you have to time there death’s. About hakkar resetting i had the same problem and it seemed to occur (the reset) everytime when he did something with the aspect of arlokk (panter boss) so i decided to kill that and voila no more resetting. Also as above mentioned dont have any ghouls (includes army of ghouls), bloodworms, gargoyle or dancing rune weapon out since it might bug him. Its not like you need him anyway. Gonna try to do MC after the patch (wont be required to put out runes anymore) already did onyxia piss easy.

Ok, i didnt clear the panther boss – was just doing raptor/tiger bosses for the mounts and then to hakkar. I had no ghoul out, im unholy so no bloodworms or dancing weapon. I’ll try it with only clearing the panther.
on hakkar you just dps him, dont use any pets or anything or you will be mc’d and it resets.
