Well when can we expecting to see this add on available?

Because i like the dkirunes mod,and when y saw that there will be an other mod for disese i whas really happy ^^.

  • Kreepy said:

It looks like number 6 is the most popular choice, unfortunately..
What happens to whoever choose DKiRunes who doesnt like number 6? Am i forced to use it? Do i have to leave with it?
I think the mod itself is the best so far (i personally use it without the sword design) and I think number 6 wont fit my graphic choice.
Is there any way we can choose the desease ui as weel as we do with the basic ui of the mod?

    Go number 5!
I don’t see how people are voting for 6.
It’d be waaay too big and stuffy.

  • Archael said:

Hoping for either 1 or 5!
6 may be “decent” for ppl using the Sword design however I show only the runes themselves on my UI and love how it looks would be awesome to have a simular way of disease tracking added to it.

Ignore the rest of the picture but try and find where I use the runes ;)

They hardly show out of combat however in combat they become much more visible and right next to my character making me able to focus on whats going on all over the screen instead of focusing my attention to a corner of the screen to show my rune CDs..
At this time still using Runewatch (below my character) for Disease tracking hope to soon disable Runewatch! ;)

If it’s going to be Number 1 at least have numeric timers too?

After the contest is over, you can discuss whatever options you want in the development thread. This mod has always been driven by user feedback, and the disease tracker will be no different

I am in the same boat as Kreepy, I’m thinking if I don’t like it, I’ll probly just drop it, (I have 2 mods actually that keep track of disease times) I’ve become accustomed to not even needing to see the runes.

  • Khemical said:

Whichever one wins, I hope they use #2 for the simple box style.

Is it possible to make a bar somewhere for pestilence? while not technically a disease, I really appreciate knowing when the diseases on everything I’m not targeting are going to end. Nugrunning had a decent implementation of this where it would just make one bar “Pestilence: 13″ instead of making a ton more for every mob (though last i checked, that mod was somewhat dead because of an API bug? that the creator didn’t want to work around).

  • Malhavoc said:

First with numbers added would be best. I play a lock, and dot bars are the best to have a very quick look. And a bar for pestilence is REALLY needed.

  • Gerbodhg said:

I like number 1 simple and easy to follow when you are in the heat of battle. I do agree that a pestilence indicator would be nice.

  • Kharne said:

    I like 6.

Its really a nice mod wirth an awesome look.

Even if 6 don’t win is it possible to have a addon of it?

    Great Ideas first off!!

well, honestly, i have to say as much as i like the designs of these, i do have a slight issue or two.

generally, in a 25 man raiding guild, most players have about, on average, 15 mods going at any given moment. personally, comming from a DPS caster class, between DBM, Grid, Omen, XPERL, so on and so on, i want my mods to be as simple as possible. that being said, i like the idea behind the first one the most.

keeping that in mind, with all that busy work going on in my screen, i want to see numbers, and timers, and names. colors, and swords and graphics and whatnot take up space, time, and all that other jazz.

i would love to see a very simple, lightweight, and yet informative version of what i see here, or maybe the option to simplify them at will.

  • Rimbetur said:

Number 5 wins for me because I don’t use the sword graphics and I think I could fit them better in my UI and they would still be quite nice if I wanted to use the sword design. Nice and simple.

  • Taie said:

It would definitely be nice to have 5 win, because I never used the sword graphics either, and I have gone back to using Runica and a seperate disease timer for now. I wish I knew more code I would just code diseases into Runica.

  • Apoxon said:

    Go go number 4.

Centralized, easy to read and doesn’t take up an acre of screen real estate? Yes please.

  • Chinafru said:

I still think that they need to redo the graphic for the sword. It looks to 8-bit Nintendo. I like the sword from the other mod that kinda makes it look like the pole-arm from Rend.

  • AEro said:

Should make them all available or top 2 of them available so were not restricted to just the winning one…. personally like to see 5 or 4.

  • snow said:

I just wanted to know if the sequence (blood, frozen and unholy) on the meter can be changed according to user preference?

  • - said:

Am I the only one who thinks that #1 (currently winning) has really bad bar textures?

  • sohvan said:

4 or 5 would be best for me. The bar style of 1 is way too big for me. 4 and 5 are simple, clear and show the information in a small space.

  • Sylenea said:

4 and 5 are the two best IMO as well. Nice clean and neat.

  • Zeke said:

I agree that #1 would be good with some timers. Personally, I like having a clearly visible bar to look at for a quick glance.

#2 & #5 is a great idea for anyone who hides the sword graphic, though they’re a bit small for my liking.

I really like #4, though I’d probably place the disease tracker over the handle of the blade graphic to save screen space.

#6 looks pretty cool, but not as practical.

Good luck to all who entered.

  • axonia said:

    Non of them.

  • kalel90 said:

I cant believe 1 is winning that’s just dumb while it would be a good idea if the main part of the mod wasn’t a sword as of now it doesn’t match at all 5 matches the closest you guys should just pick 5 and be done with it.

  • Vilereaver said:

Can we get this released already? I check everyday for the update, and its been about a week now. We have a clear winner ^^

  • Kenzi said:

It’s been stated since the beginning that the voting would last 2 weeks, would hardly be fair to stop it now.

  • Vilereaver said:

Ah, sorry about that, I didn’t realize there would be a two-week voting period.

An idea for choice#1: consider having the left edge (the starting point) for all bars be parallel to each other. I would have serious trouble using it as is, simply b/c visually I would keep thinking I have more time left on Blood Plague than the other diseases.

A question for #6: for the number of stacks part, below the hilt, does that refer to the total number of MY diseases on the target?

I use this wonderful mod, using the simple box, oriented left (starboard RuneSlide, so the cooling down runes drop into the box when refreshed), as a reference. And it makes watching my cooldowns while tanking SO much easier.

I have two general suggestion for the mod, especially if bars could be used to help keep track of diseases.
The first would be an option to change the colors, say, using a color wheel. It sounds trivial (keep in mind I played a warrior for ALL of the last 2 years of Burning Crusade) but tracking blood plague with a red bar would really give me flashbacks to rage and confuse me- I couldn’t function without it being either purple like the official Blood Plague icon or the sickly-green of Plague Strike.
The second would be the option to set in what what order the disease-tracking bars are set up. For example, a person might want the diseases tracked in the order they are applied(aka when they’ll expire). Another person might want them alphabetically. Or someone might not want Crypt fever/ebon plague tracked at all (if they don’t want it to take up extra space, even though they have their DK spec’d for it). These are just ideas, but I know having the options to change things like order and color add a lot of appeal to the mod, even if few people exercise every option. (I myself almost used RuneWatch because it let me used the original icons. But because RuneWatch moves the cooling down runes out of order, unlike DI, which I decided was better for me).

Can those of us that want to get a copy of #5? Congratz to the designer of 1 cause apparently a lot of people liked it. I would rather have 5 though its a lot cleaner and simpler.

  • Sloan said:

i don’t get it, why so many votes for 1, it’s juste anoter god damn bar mod… there are like thousands of these arounds…

5 is original and minimalist, i bet you can have only the 3 or 2 disease dots showing.

    gogo 5 !
