Death Knight Manga Featuring Thassarian to Release December 2009

The December 2009 edition of TokyoPoP’s Word of Warcraft Manga will feature the story of the first known [Alliance] Death Knight Thassarian.

Thassarian is not Gorefiend. Thassarian is one of your fellow Death Knights in the DK starting area, he gives you a quest to rescue Deathweaver (the guy with the bubble in the basement of scarlet hold). Later you meet him again as he tortures a Lich to rescue his sister in Borean Tundra (It’s the final ‘epic’ quest line of BT).

Ummm Ya…..Teron Gorefiend was the first DK created by Gul’Dan…if they’re going to make a Manga plz get it right…dont screw up WC lore and history.

the deathknight here is referring to rune-bladed warrior created by lich king

but i think Arthas is the first one…. thassarian is probbaly the first dk created by Arthas

The first DK was Teron Gorefiend. Since he was created by the Horde he was also the first known. There is null to nothing known about Arthas’ creations as Lich King – besides Sylvanas as a Banshee Sindragosa on WotLK.

If Thassarian shares the same background like the players he isnt for long a DK. I dont know his background though because Im Horde. I doubt that Alliance players know much more about him just because of his little sister story…

Actually, according to Wowwiki, Thassarian was the first Death Knight to REJOIN the Alliance. It doesn’t mention whether he was the first Death Knight created by Arthas or not, but I’m pretty sure that Baron Rivendare or Alexandros Mograine were created first.
