Yeah, yeah – I know Blizzcon is only a couple of days away and that we may as well wait and see what Blizzard actually has to say about the upcoming expansion, but it’s too hard not to say a few things about the tidbits of information floating around. If you haven’t heard anything about this yet, MMO-Champion.com “leaked” a ton of details the other day about the upcoming expansion – including the new races, new class/race combos, and changes to existing zones. Since Blizzard has not yet denied or confirmed, there is major speculation about what is really going to happy.

But, even if you do not believe the speculation (which I tend to drift toward being accurate), things like the Creative Labs teaser image for Sound Blaster shows Azshara clearly on the left and Gilneas clearly on the right – the two purported new starting zones for you guessed it…the new races that have supposedly be leaked.

There are a lot of details going around that appear to be too closely linked to be coincidence. So either, we’re looking at what will possibly be the next major content upgrade in the game, or Blizzard is playing a major joke on us. Either way, I suppose we’ll find out on Thursday and Friday.

Well, who seems to be getting the best out of this? Alliance is getting werewolves, and the horde is getting short green midgets… I think the alliance is winning on this one.
