My main is a DK. I had a Shaman that was my main up until WotLK. I played the DK, and fell in love with the class. I have had a lot of people surprised at my level of play. I will have to admit, I see a lot of DKs, and groan. For every one of us that has a DK main, there seems to be 10 that have a DK alt that other do not know, or even understand. The DK strength, is that you can do a LOT of DPS with very little skill. Once you reach that point though, you find out the depth of the class. It is getting people to understand that there IS depth, that is problematic.

Anybody whose interested in adopting the Death Knight class as their main, or even as an often played alt, should read these posts in detail. My own thoughts are, Learn the fundamentals. Death Knights operate on priority more than rotation. It’s not a ’spam’ class like, say, mages which simply hit one main nuke and occasionally a proc. cartier watches DK’s can actually be a very challenging class to master, which is why there are so very many of them posting poor numbers or performing badly as tanks. Either learn to micromanage, or play something else.
