Hi Dean,

Generally a proc based trinket has an internal cooldown (something like 45 secs) that varies between trinket. Some are up more than others. This is so that they can limit the % change of triggering, to not be constant.

Then when calculating value the "uptime" advantage is usually averaged out over the course of a 3-5 minute fight, to see what overall benefit it has compared to items that have a constant affect.

Use based is a variation on this, where most stats assume the person is using it as often as possible.

If the two trinkets share a cooldown then the overall affect is usually limited somewhat, but with an internal hidden cooldown of 45 secs, plus a trinket having an on use of 2 minutes, generally you can use each once each fight.

Does that help?

Great list.... one addition I'd like to suggest is to add crafted gear to the list when it's in the running.

After all it doesn't make any sense to list something that is so outclassed by emblem gear however there are items that would make the list...

...Crusader Orb... Chest and .... Bracers (iirc)

..Rune Orb... Belt and Feet (again iirc)

Since I'm someone who finally got around to leveling a DK and is SO accustom to running a toon with really good gear I forgot what a long road it took to get my main to its current state and I've been compiling a list pretty much exactly as yours above but it also has crafted gear as well as gear that can drop from 5 man dungeons.

If I ever get it all done I'll post it here for u to see and use as u like...

The original list was a dps only list, and I added the Frost items to it for both dps and tank.

Just a note: Most of the tanking items seem to be missing there. There's pretty much a corresponding tank item for every DPS item you have up there.
