There are quite a few blue posts going up these days with Cataclysm details and discussions, but there haven’t been many details about Death Knights of late, so it was nice to see a few good posts in the last day or so about some issues that are relatively important for the class.
For the most part, it discusses the comparison between Obliterate and Scourge Strike, something that many Unholy DPS DKs have been dealing with for some time now. Interesting to see where there are thoughts are headed on this:

A slew of new companion pets is being added to the game when the 3.2.2 patch goes live in a few weeks. Byond the couple that we already know like the Pandaren Monk, there are a few others that have been announced in blue posts or data mined out of PTR. Here is a list of the new ones:

Spectral Tiger Cub – Reward for the Scourgewar expansion for the Trading Card Game.
Onyxia Whelpling – Given to anyone that logs on during the 5th Anniversary event occurring later this year.

There’s not a lot of news this weekend, but this video floating around the web is causing enough stir to deserve a post all on it’s own. If you were at Blizzcon then you already saw it – the complete destruction of the best guild in the game by Hogger – or the steroid infused, resurrected, uber powerful version of Hogger that Blizzard cooked up just for them. It’s fun as heck to watch though – this guy is insane.

A new expansion pack has been announced and you guessed it, there are already people claiming that a beta is “available”. I’ve already received two emails that are clearly spams and Blizzard has come right out and said in the forums that a beta clients isn’t even being built or considered yet, let alone being released. The game is likely in early Alpha testing. I know it’s exciting to think that you might get in early, but trust me – when the beta becomes a reality, Blizzard will let us …

Amid all the news about Cataclysm, quite a few of the details seemed to have gotten lost, which has made for a lot of catchup in the last week or so. One of the things that has come up that not everyone necessarily saw at first in the Professions and Classes Panel was the major changes to stats that are coming with the launch of 4.0.
