We’ll see Unholy DKs going back to a traditional deep spec, but necrosis has lost its value in that spec. Current EJ theory is seeing either Dark Death or Disease glyphs being top; I personally would prefer to use Disease, and for AOE it’s the winner. Runeforge Gossip wrote how to use disease glyph. He also likes the scourge strike change to having mix of shadow and physical damage.

The changes around levelling alts were a little surprising for me. Hodir enchants being bind on account, for example, and increases in how quickly you gain rep from other groups in Northrend. I suspect Blizzard just bundled some Cataclysm changes into 3.3, which as a whole will make it easier to level new character from L1 all the way to L85.

Racial changes are available now too. Being a new class, mostly I expect DKs to remain on their current races (not like we can really claim to be bored of it), although I have had a question on switching to Night Elf from Human just for tanking.

I’m levelling a new DK now, and picked a Tauren for their awesomeness of size.

The Emblem changes in 3.3 mean we can get some wonderful raid-quality loot from heroic 5-mans, and the new LFG system will make that even easier, and helps old guys like me gear up their new mains.

But do you miss using crowd control in there? 2fps talked about cc. I like having cc, since it creates a bit more complexity for the tank, but am glad it’s not as crazy as in the L60 days.

A new blogger is on the scene too, Hinen writes on dps and whilst a new blog, it’s very active and worth visiting. His post on the Bleeding Hearts addon is relevant if you want to roll the best diseases.

I was deeply saddened when they stopped the service over at WoWAce, and quickly looked for a replacement. I didn’t look long and started using the Curse.com automator and was perfectly happy with it. Yes, I know, the rumors where hot and heavy that you could get a virus from them, ZOMG! I trusted Curse though and loved the program. I knew though, because they called their free service “premium”, that sooner or later the rug would come out and a charge would be applied to continue using it at a level I was used to. Sure enough, that premium service grew a cost and my Curse updater became slow and timely because I didn’t pay to get the “premium” service.

Then, ZAM the powerhouse company that owns my beloved Wowhead and half the Interwebs finally came through!

We are happy to announce that our baby MMOUI Minions were born a little while ago and, although they still need a bit more training before they are fully housebroken*, are now big enough to be adopted!

MMOUI Minion: A free, eager-to-please little monster lackey of your own, with enough sense to stick to orders! Minion can handle all the ‘work’ assigned, letting you get back to the ’serious business’ of playing your game sooner. Not only that, it’s able to learn how to work with other sites that you use if they’ve set up Minion-training programs of their own.

From AddOns and News to Database Submissions and more, Minion is happy to serve!

You can go here to get your very own Minion.

General Minion Usage (including installation instructions) and information on how to submit Bug Reports is here.

To discuss Minion, please go to this forum.

If you are interesting in writing modules for Minion, please see this forum for the API and general dev discussion.

Please note: Since this is a Beta release, we fully expect that there will be some bugs and you should too. This is not a finished product. Please be prepared to deal with the possibility of problems, or wait until we release the finished version. Be sure to make a backup of your AddOn and WTF folders before running Minion.

The small amount of time I have spent with it I can already say I am in love! Try it! It’s fast and better yet…FREE! Plus it’s backed by a huge company so secure is another good quality!

Ultimately the goal was for Blizzard to be blown away at the rune design and use them as the default ones. High hopes yes, and unfortunately they either missed their chance or just didn’t even notice. But wait! DKinfo member futhark has taken it upon himself to make sure we have a chance to have the DKinfo runes in our game with his UI project! The UI so far has seen several revisions and he is taken all feedback seriously. Most of the changes so far has come directly from community member feedback in the forums.

Here is a look at the progress so far:

Revision 0.0.2

Revision 0.1.0

Revision 0.2.0

The list of features and additions continues to grow and the project is really starting to pick up a ton of momentum.

Once Alpha info started leaking out, this was the first reported portrait bar:

Looking at those two made perfect sense, however, once even more info came out and we started seeing in game footage and screenshots; it became clear that we did infact have a new, never before seen portrait bar.

Here is a graphic showing the new portrait bar, in detail, by Zeke:

There is tons of speculation. Some think it may be a different player bar for each faction. That seems unlikely, but what is the answer? We have yet to see in game footage of an Alliance Death Knight, *cough*hint*cough, but I am certain that they will all have the same as the one posted by Zeke and as shown in the next image:
