Ok, before I begin I'd like to appologize to any alliance that might be confused and/or unable to do some of the things I list here. This is intended for future horde Deathknights.

I'm sure everyone here is making a Deathknight as a main or very serious alt during WotLK, so I created a list of things that you can save up to better speed up your deathknights levels through 55-70 so that you can quickly see Northrend content with your friends. Now remember, this is a work in progress and I'll be posting on this thread very often for anything I find(Feel free to add anything you find as well!).

First off, Secondary-Professions. Just a quick run-through of things you can save.

First Aid:
Just to keep people from confusion I'll write this in caps:
BELOW IS WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO LEVEL UR FIRST AID FROM 1 TO APPROXIMATELY 390-400 SKILL. CHECK BELOW FOR THE COMPLETE LIST.
150 x Linen Cloth
125 x Wool Cloth
140 x Silk Cloth
90 x Mageweave Cloth
80(100 to be safe) x Runecloth
around 220 x Netherweave

Runecloth is very flexible because you must level your first aid by 10 skills with it only being green status.
Netherweave will need to have enough to level your first aid to 375 and beyond for-- I believe Frostweave Cloth (in WotLK) to be usable.

When it comes down to Cooking there isn't too much I'd worry about while leveling. It's more of a burden then an assistance. However--if you are interested in looking to level it up check out the other threads in this sub-forum.

Last is Fishing, which also has to be slowly leveled up and also doesn't hold any benefit for you while leveling.

Note: Asking friends/guildies to position their alts in Silithus/Winterspring for quick summons can be a real great way to save time and build your exp/professions faster!

Complete List of things you should save for your Deathknight
:

UPDATE: Sad to say this, but after getting into the beta I notice how many of the things I've put up here wont be of any use. So I've gone ahead and removed them from the list. Sorry guys for the inconvenience.

120 x Runecloth
220 x Netherweave
6 x Bog Tendrils (Drops off bog monsters in Zangamarsh)
10 x Glow Cap (little mushrooms throughout southwestern Zangamarsh)
10 x Unidentified Plant Parts (Drops off of almost any mob in Zangamarsh)
6 x Fertile Spores (Drops off of young spore bats and other spore creatures throughout Zangamarsh)
5 x Snickerfang Jowl (Drops off dogs in Blasted Lands)
6 x Blasted Boar Lung (Drops off boars in Blasted Lands)
6 x Scorpok Pincer (Drops off scorpions in Blasted Lands)
11 x Basilisk Brain (Drops off basilisks in Blasted Lands)
14 x Vulture Gizzard (Drops off vultures in Blasted Lands)
1 x Flawless Draenethyst Sphere (Chance to drop off any mob in Blasted Lands)
1 x Imperfect Draenethyst Fragment (Chance to drop off any mob in Blasted Lands)
30 x Arakkoa Feathers (Drops off Arakkoa birds in Terrokar Forest)
1 x Fel Armament/Arcane Tome (Drops off the Burning Legion/Sunfury Blood Elves(When ur DK chooses either aldor or scryer for the hell of it the first turn in will give him/her exp))
10 x Mark of Sargeras/Sunfury Signet(Drops off the Burning Legion/Sunfury Blood Elves)
10 x Mark of Kil'Jaeden/Firewing Signet(Drops off the Burning Legion/Sunfury Blood Elves)
10 x Mature Spore Sacs (In Zangamarsh at coordinates 17, 57)
3 x Raptor Rib (Raptors in BEM, mainly)
3 x Serpent Flesh (Serpents in BEM, mainly)
3 x Ivory Tusks (From Nagrand Neutral-Hostile Elephants)
10 x Dreadfang Venom Sacs (From Terrokar Spiders)
10 x Dampscale Basilisk Eyes (From Terrokar Basilisks)

Feel free to post here if you know of anything else to save!

Complete List of Pick-up Quest Mobs:

1 x Withered Basidium (From any Bog mob at the Dead Mire in Zangamarsh)
1 x Cabal Orders (From any Cabal Skirmisher, Executioner, or Initiate in northern Bone Wastes, Terrokar Forest)
1 x "Count" Ungula's Mandible(From a giant Marshfang @ (32,59), Zangamarsh)
1 x Drain Schematics(From any Naga in Zangamarsh)
1 x Strange Earring(Scourge-corrupted Murlocs in Howling Fjord)

And as far as I know there are no Pick-up Quests in WPL nor EPL. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Also if you're looking for gear that you can save up for your Deathknight, may I please point your attention to http://deathknight.info/forum/index.php?topic=700.0.

Hi dude

There's a bunch of threads with that listings already, we should think about one sticky Thread, so everyone could take a look at

But to add some things to your current list:

Eastern Plaguelands

30 x Crypt Fiend Parts
30 x Bone Fragments
30 x Dark Iron Scraps
30 x Core of Elements

These are repeatable quests, but you get nice XP by completing them the first time though

Blasted Lands

Same thing for the repeatable quests here, as i'm too lazy to post the whole stuff here, just look at these links:

There are also the two fragment quests from Kum'isha, see here
 - http://thottbot.com/q2521

You also didn't mention the reputation turn-ins in the major cities, as they also give Xp by completing them the first time. So you should save some cloth beneath your first aid supply Wink

Greetings

I did this for my paladin and I highly suggest you do not.  It is not worth the effort.  Half the time you end up simply not turning the quests in because it is in an area that you are not in.

You're saying we won't be in EPL or Zangarmarsh? I find that hard to believe.

The thing is the vast majority of the EXP you end up getting is from actually killing the mobs.  I ended up running out of quests and just having to grind mobs.

A new character at 55 will not have problems getting quests before Outland, they have plenty of zones with quests, that won't be a problem. As far as Outland, I don't see them running out either, but if they do, it's still doesn't hurt to save these up.

Also, direct your attention to this thread for gear you might want to save for your DK when he starts leveling

I don't think many people are going to bother going to each capitol to turn in the cloth to get just a couple k's of xp, but thank you for putting it here. I'm sure people who want ever last bit they can get prepared will do this.

You forgot
30 x Savage Fronds

I'm not 100% sure, but if i remember correctly there are mobs in plaguelands which inflict some superlong annoying debuffs (10-30min). So i'm going to pack some Purification Potions.

Since there are a few threads it might be great to create a wiki or at the least an official sticky with all the info collected in one place. But thanks for this, its awesome, I had been working on gear and smithing mats and never considered quests like this.

Since bliz changed the xp to favor quests this will be a great way to quickly level.
