I searched but didn't see a previous topic on this(if so point me to it) so I thought maybe I'd bring this up.

I'm at work right now so I don't remember the exact value(70 or 80 as I recall) but any healing druid is going to have imp mark of the wild, and at 80 its 75.6 resist(I don't know if it will round up or down).

So, mark of the wild, which everyone will have, 75 resist
and then the 2 point talent, frost aura, is either 70 or 80, and doesn't stack. am I the only one tho thinks this is one of the more useless talents?  rolleyes

I can see that; I'm not sure. However, it is currently bugged so that multiple DKs will stack the aura. Whoops!

I could have sworn the druid buff and frost aura stacked...

I didn't even remember the resistances in MotW, which is weird since I'm a Druid, but what I'd like to know is, does the Aura's constant resistance stack with the buffs from Acclimation?
( 50 x 3 ) + 80 would be very yes.

two weeks ago motw and the aura stacked. in fact, even the aura itself stacks if you bring multiple dks.

If the aura itself stacked, then it is bugged and we cannot determine from that whether they stack or not.

I'm going to look at 2 spots for information here:

Frost Aura: Excludes properly against all other resistance buffs.

Stacking

The following list contains sources of resistance and stacking information:

    * Racial bonuses always count
    * Self buffs, such as Demon Armor or Mage Armor do stack independently of other bonuses
    * Equipped items and enchants stack freely
    * Only one Elixir or Flask providing resistance can be in effect at a time
    * Auras, totems, and buffs do not stack - the highest single effect of this type applies. Also Magic Resistance Potion do not stack with auras, totems and buffs.

Example: A hunter using Aspect of the Wild with +70 nature resist makes any other auras in the group useless (unless the hunter dies). It however fully stacks with equipment bonuses as well as a racial bonus and a guardian elixir.

I'm not entirely sure what "Excludes properly against all other resistance buffs" means...is the aura excluded from non-stacking or does the aura exclude weaker resistance buffs?  Blizzard needs better tooltips!

To answer the original question, it is 0.5/1.0 resistance per level, so at lvl 70 it is 70 resist, and at level 80 it is 80 resist.  Untalented, MotW adds 54 resistances, and talents add 40%, for a total of 75.6 resistances.  However, remember that you may not always have a druid in a 5-man or 10-man run (should almost definitely have 1 of each on a 25-man run) and not all druids will spec into imp MotW (only restos, and *maybe* balance, since Furor is better for Feral/Balance).

Paladin Auras do not stack with Totems, MotW, or Priest Shadow Prot. They stack with everything else like warlock spells and talents, +8 resist food, and flask of chromatic wonder.

Given that i would assume Death Knight Auras to work the same. They will be good for 5-10 mans when no druid/paladin/priest is around. This is only my assumption, still need proof.

What's the latest on the stacking situation on Live with stacking for:
 - gotw, pally aura, frost aura, acclimation.

Well, I have this aura. I can't say if it stacks with druids, paladin or priests buff. But it stacks with Acclimatation.

I think Acclimatation is bugged too. It's triggered by buffs and healing spells...

I just hope it'll stack always with Acclimatation, otherwise I can't understand why those 2 buffs are so deep in the same talent tree.

Frost aura stacks with acclimation.
Frost aura does not stack with gotw.
Each acclimation stack gives me 50 resist at L72.

Screenshots:
Two acclimation stacks + frost aura gave me 172 resist.

Zero acclimation, GOTW and frost aura, 72 resist (ie. nothing from GOTW)

One acclimation, no GOTW and frost aura, 122 resist.

I've read elsewhere, the stack is always +50 each regardless of level.
Also that frost aura does not stack with paladin frost aura either.

So the highest resist you can get, from yourself with no gear at L80, is 80 (aura) + 150 (acclimation) = 230.
