Well Im gonna just take the mats I have saved and make another titansteel destroyer (that I saved for the tank weapon) and sell it on the AH.

Thanks alot. I saw this coming a mile away. If those weapons reached Live, getting to defence cap as a death knight would be far far too easy to hit, and would require almost no gear at all.
But on the other side, hell yes I would have used it.

The problem wasn't getting def capped. It was staying def capped while getting epics out of heroics and Naxx/OS. Def starts dropping fast as avoidance stats go up. That's not to say that you can't do it without the +90 def weapon, but it sure as hell makes it easier. And if you wanna say, "Just use the new rune forge!!", that's fine, but it's an overall loss in avoidance over swordshattering by roughly 2% I believe.

That weapon + runeforge + the new tanking sigil, would far far FAR outweigh swordshattering. I would never ever have to enchant/gem for defence ever again. I would even go so far as saying that I might even start using DPS gear to tank.
Now I haven't done the exact calculations, but I'd think 19.something + 25 + 54 defence rating(from sigil), would be alot more than 4% parry just from swordshattering.

You actually will lose almost 4% Avoid. Remember that the def sockets you replace (with either threat or stamina, as replacing def with other avoid is not getting you more avoid unless you're in horrible gear) give you a lot of avoidance right now. In fact, they will give you about 2-3% Avoid.
So what you ctually lose is 1.5% from the avoid difference of the enchants, and 2-3% from the slots.
It's not worth it. Gargoyle is an inferior enchant only there for early gearing. It doesn't measure up to Swordshattering in good gear, because that avoidance is worth more than anything you can socket. HP only does not define a good tank.

Was it too much to ask that one spec of one class had 2 FREAKING WEAPONS MEANT FOR IT?
I am completly underwhelmed by these most recent bullshit from blizzard.
There was really no freaking reason to not implement them.

fuck sake I don't care how good an argument that was, I'm in the horrible situation where my guild has barely got 10 man naxx on farm and I'm desperate to stop sticking def gems/enchants all over my gear, every upgrade I get is a struggle, time to work out some thing else
