*But to make up for it the T9 set bonus got balanced from 20s to 10s reduction.

I would say a 20 second reduction in tanking cooldown times would be a tiny lil' bit OP!

Yay!  Bone Shield on 1m cooldown!  Boo(urns)!  Scourge Strike glyph. Sad

Or wait... does this ADD duration to already ticking diseases, or does it set the duration to the longer time once, and then nothing more? uglystupid2

it looks additive, as I read it, so it gives you 100% chance to add 3s, up 9s, meaning you can get 30s from one initial IT/PS. Sounds good to me.

Boo(urns)!

I may be the only person that gets this.

I'm guessing based on that mechanic, I won't have to make any DKiDisease changes.  Phew!

i actually think the ss glyph change is better than the current. current is like playing lottery, this is soemthing predictable.

I created Wyvern Sting, a year before it was implemented.

No cc, no burst, no heal debuff. rogues have em, but aren't op. Dks dont, but somehow are.
I know this because the wow forums told me so.
Logic? WTF is that?

The more I think about it, the more this all seems too good to be true. Everyone loves to get buffed but I dont want us made seemingly too good just to get nerfed again later.

I just checked the PTR.  VB, UA, and BS do all have 1 minute cooldowns.  They still take resources to use.

The changes do look nice so hopefully they keep them!

Ghostcrawler. Why buff DK cooldowns?

Image (source)
Making the tanks different is very important to us. If we can keep DKs in a spot where their health and mitigation might be a little lower, but cooldowns make up for it, then they play differently from other tanks. The most boring solution would be to give everyone the same armor, health and cooldowns. Then all you're really getting is different art for your character, and of course the community would move on to resource mechanics or threat generation as the next reason they're getting benched. I just checked glyphed UA on the PTR and it is multiplicative so it's only a 30% increase in armor.

The quick numbers are below.  Damage reduction is based on the tooltip in the character pane.

Base armor in frost presence: 25,123 (62.25% dmg. reduction)
Armor with unglyphed UA: 31,404      (67.34% dmg. reduction)
Armor with glyphed UA: 32,659         (68.19% dmg. reduction)

It's still more armor but I wonder if it is worth giving up an existing glyph.  I really like the ones I have right now: Obliterate, Rune Strike, and Howling Blast.

UA by itself before buffs is providing 5.09% damage reduction.  The glyph (without buffs) provides an additional 0.85%.

Ok.  I was able to get Imp MotW 2/2, Kings, untalented Devotion Aura, and Howl of Winter.

Base armor in frost presence: 27,858 (64.65% dmg. reduction)
Armor with unglyphed UA: 34,259      (69.22% dmg. reduction)
Armor with glyphed UA: 35,538          (70.00% dmg. reduction)

You can obviously get more armor but these numbers should get closer to raid buffed values.  At that level UA shows a 4.57% damage reduction.  The glyph is adding an additional 0.78%.

So it's actually only +5% more of your armour from the glyph.
About 1256 in your case.

Like 1 or 2% reduction or something? I haven't put it into a formula.

If it's in that 1-2% range, I probably still wouldn't use the glyph. Like Kuren, I'd be tempted to stick with those other glyphs.

Yeah, that is kind of small, but I really wouldn't want it to sit around only ~5% or so reduced damage taken, that would feel like a weak T8 4-piece bonus really, and I doubt it would really be absorbing much more then the old UA did. undecided

We need some splug input imo.

The more armour you have the better it is with glyph. 25k isnt much. Raid buffed i will be on 29k. Scaling ftw

EDIT - oh & then theres the 2min armour pot which is 3500 on top of that.
